POSITION OVERVIEW

Position: Funeral Arranger

Location: South West Birmingham

Salary: Up to £12.75ph when fully qualified

Hours:

Full time – Monday – Friday

Part-time hours to be agreed (2 or 3 consecutive days per week)

THE ROLE

The Funeral Arranger will manage and arrange funerals for our client families. Specific duties include:

  • meeting with recently bereaved families/friends of the deceased to understand their wishes.
  • advising client families on funeral options.
  • liaising with the team to ensure everything is in place pre-and post-funeral.
  • ensuring paperwork and systems are up to date and completed in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • ensuring all work is completed efficiently and courteously.
  • ensuring the highest standards of customer service are met and to go the ‘extra mile’.
  • liaising with external organisations e.g. Her Majesty’s Coroner’s Office, Hospitals, Doctors, members of the clergy/civil celebrants regarding the funeral arrangements.

 

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You may or may not already have experience in funeral arranging, whatever your experience level, we will need to see that you:

  • are entirely comfortable working with the recently bereaved.
  • can work well in a team and share the workload.
  • are able to talk to people across wide sections of society in a sensitive and confident manner.
  • can demonstrate a polite and courteous demeanour and behaviour at all times.
  • can be highly professional in person and on the telephone.
  • are able to multi-task, be organised and have exceptional attention to detail.
  • have experience of providing exceptional customer service.
  • are highly motivated and driven.
