Here at Mortons we are continually aware that all of our activities will impact upon our environment.

We continuously search for ways to reduce our carbon footprint to ensure that everything we do is as kind to the environment as possible. Whilst traditional funerals comprise most of the services in the UK, you should not feel compelled to follow suit. We are regularly approached by clients who wish to have a more environmentally friendly service.

All of our timber coffins use certified wood proven to be from sustainable sources or you could choose to use a willow, bamboo, banana leaf, seagrass, water hyacinth or cardboard coffin – the variations are almost endless!

Eco Funerals, Environmentally Friendly Funerals, Green Funerals, Woodland Burials and Home Burials are all descriptions given for completing funerals without any unnecessary disturbance to our planet. There are no hard and fast rules about ceremony content so you can select the Celebrant to suit your own wishes.

Our experience in arranging all styles of interment are extensive so we are confident we can meet your expectations and provide a service which is unique, dignified and personalised to you and your family. Our involvement can be minimal and comparatively unobtrusive if that’s what you prefer – you are in control and we are here to help.
