Continuing to help you say goodbye

During these difficult times, we want to do everything we can to help you say goodbye, and we are taking every step necessary to ensure funerals continue to go ahead.

However, to keep everyone safe during the coronavirus pandemic, the number of attendees to funerals may be limited to immediate family, and attendees must comply with social distancing measures. Therefore, it may not be possible for you to hold the style of funeral you, or your loved one would have originally intended.

While many crematoria have the ability to live stream a funeral services, not all locations can. In these circumstances, there are still ways you can celebrate a loved one’s life and give everyone who knew them the chance to say goodbye.

We have written two guides filled with suggestions to help you celebrate the life of someone you love, both during this time of restricted movement and after.

Hosting your own funeral ceremony during the coronavirus pandemic

Today’s technology allows us to connect with people from around the world remotely. While it’s not the same as meeting people face to face, why not host a funeral ceremony at home using a popular video application?

Group video calls are a great way to bring people together that would otherwise be unable to attend the funeral. They can be held on same day as their funeral or shortly after.

Our step by step guide will help you host your own ceremony during lockdown.

Wish to thank all staff at Mortons for being helpful, caring, understanding at my fathers funeral. Used the same director at mums funeral 10 yrs ago so recommend. Made the day a bit easier on a sad day.
